Shima-Maxx is

The original founding "member" of the
Shima-Gais band.
He is the Drum and Percussive genius behind the rhythm section.

He drinks two kinds of beer...cold and free and don't be offended if he comments on your bad hair.

He actually believes that he is the sexiest
Shima-Gai!

He is said to have once hit a snare so hard the shockwave blew the panties off thirteen chicks dancing in the front row. He actually kept those panties and wears a different pair at every gig as a reminder to lay off the beat a bit.

He is a self-professed master at the ancient defensive art of Aikido, although, his girl friend has been known to make him cry by pulling his chest hair. which he denies fully.

The picture to the right was taken with a high-speed digital prototype camera used by NASA to capture images of lightning fast distant black hole anomalies. Due to Maxx's over-indulgence of coffee, habu-sake, and tequila mixed with his masterful aikido skills, his lightning fast drumming could only be captured with this high-tech camera.

The famous actor/aikido master, Steven Seagal, was once heard saying "shit, that punk's drumming is almost as good as my acting!"

From the stress of trying to please the egos of the band members, Aikido master Shima-Maxx began hearing voices in his head advising him to use Shima-Kouzo's mind-altering Zen technique.

Below, Maxx comments, "I could have sworn there was someone standing behind me...but it was just in my head..."

QUOTES FROM
THE STAGE:

"Ready Girls!",

"What's this crap!"

"hachi-machi!"

"I need you to focus."

"There's the door!

Maxx secretly aspires to becoming a stand-up comedian even though his shrink has diagnosed him as microphonophobic. He was overheard in the picture to the left telling a joke and stating, "Funny, right! I can't get enough of myself!, So funny!"

His most notable quote:

"Ida-na-hada..."
(translation: 'I do not know how to do that, so, I'll have someone do it for me'
)
